POSITION: Compensation & Benefits Specialist

RECRUITMENT SALARY RANGE: $70,500 - $92,000*

Reporting to the Rewards Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Jaguar Land Rover North America (JLRNA) Reward philosophy in the U.S. and Canada through analysis, implementation and communication of our competitive compensation and benefits programs to ensure attraction and retention of employees.

- Collaborate with management on compensation issues including resolution of pay issues, interpretation of compensation policies, and communication of regulations.
- Develop and maintain market data pricing for JLRNA for utilization in determining salary offers for new hires, promotions, lateral transfers and pay increases.
- Ensure compensation and benefits programs are compliant with all relevant legislation, such as FLSA, EEO, ADA, etc.
- Coordinate ongoing wellness programs and initiatives across US and Canada, including budget.
- Oversee the Travel and Expense policy and system for North America.
- Manage all compliance audits on benefit programs to ensure reporting, disclosure, testing, and other government requirement are being filed timely and accurately. Ensures that all plan filings meet federal mandates: Annual 5500 filing, EEOC, ACA Reporting and Fee requirements and Restatement of Plan Documents.
- Oversee the Non-Discrimination annual 401(k) testing, true-ups and Profit Sharing with 401(k) provider/record keeper. Schedule annual review meetings in US and Canada with internal committee and vendor and record minutes.
- Help manage professional relationships with external consultants, insurance brokers, and other vendors. Assist with Renewals and RFPs.
- Assist in educating employees, managers and colleagues on any relevant changes in the North American compensation and benefits area.
- Participate in annual compensation and salary planning process for the US, Canada, Brazil & Mexico working with UK and NA colleagues to ensure the process is run. Responsible for managing accuracy of local salary planning budget and monitoring budget vs. actual expense.
- Participate in developing the benefit communication for new hires, open enrollments, wellness initiatives and other vendor programs. Responsible for maintaining Plan documentation and Summary Plam Descriptions.
- Conduct periodic audits and prepare reports for analysisports.
- Perform other duties as required.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Bachelor’s Degree in - Human Resources or related topic/Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ direct experience in Compensation and Benefits
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to explain policies and data
- Knowledge of HR law and compliance in U.S. and Canada
- Effective organizational skills; ability to prioritize work and projects; manage stringent deadlines
- Proficient Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
- Experience with HRIS systems, SAP a plus
Schedule: Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)
*Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized components, including location, skills, experience, and market factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus in addition to a full range of medical/health, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick/personal, and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position”.
