WHAT TO EXPECT
As Process Engineer within the BAC Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and leading a highly motivated team that are responsible for the manufacturing processes of our lines. You will lead other process engineers to deliver the vision of the function and achieve BAC goals and objectives, playing an integral part in the development of our plants, products and the future of JLR Powertrain.
In this position you will plan, develop and implement assembly and test processes, introducing new products or existing product changes into operations production lines through complex project management. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Updating PFMEA and Control Plans to ensure areas comply to IATF standards and keeping Audits clear of Non Conformance.
- Process Capability of all processes and equipment, including Dimensional Management applications.
- Manage technical issues and escalate where appropriate.
- Take ownership of tasks across Operations, Engineering (Product Development), and GME departments
- Utilize your process knowledge to improve facilities, ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficienc
WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Experience of manufacturing assembly processes including adhesives, fasteners etc

Knowledge of problem solving methodologies including 8D, level 0, six sigma

Knowledge of automated assembly and run down cells, manual assembly workstations, ability to analyse and interpret performance data output from those facilities
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams and support projects from early concept stages through to production
- A good understanding of engineering principles, including the ability to review engineering drawings and CAD interpretation
