WHAT TO EXPECT:
The team in Halewood is expanding and we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the Paint Operations department.
In this role you will work as part of the maintenance operations team to provide mechanical / technical support to maximise production performance efficiency and maintain all associated plant equipment and be responsible for first line response to requests / issues with equipment / processes.
Producing modern luxury surface finishes to our customers requires a keen focus from our Maintenance teams in Paint operations. You will be focussed on providing mechanical skilled support to maintain our inventory of tooling supporting our Production process. Quality, accuracy and providing an effective and efficient tooling maintenance service is critical to the role. Welding skills are key and will deploy across various facilities within Paint operations.
Please note that the role is on days shift only.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Assist associates in area of responsibility on operations and technical understanding of equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Manage an inventory of production tooling used within the manufacturing process.
- Control stock of spare parts and ensure availability for production needs
- Perform mechanical fabrication and welding tasks to build and repair equipment and structures
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Hold an indentured/ modern apprenticeship or minimum level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering relevant for the role
- Thorough knowledge of various fault-finding methodologies
- Ability to read and cross reference within mechanical / CAD drawings
- Proven experience in mechanical fabrication and welding
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques
- Experience in managing inventory and controlling stock of spare parts
