WHAT TO EXPECT:
The IOPD Manufacturing function hold a unique position at the heart of manufacturing delivery - from initial feasibility through to detail launch planning and delivery and into volume production of both vehicles and powertrain units.
As the Programme Engineer for Industrial Operations Programme Delivery (IOPD) Manufacturing, you’ll be responsible for leading and co-ordinating all Manufacturing business functions with the objective of enabling production solutions for new JLR Vehicle Programmes and achieving excellence in Manufacturing delivery to time, cost and quality targets.

 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of Programme against overall timing plan for all gateways
  • Support the planning and delivery of manufacturing plans for delivery prototype, pre-production build phases and J1
  • Prepare accurate and objective technical status reports in support of programme/launch management meetings and senior programme gateway reviews.
  • Support use of project management tools to support a smooth project delivery (Agile methodologies, P6)
  • Support all manufacturing functions in the robust resolution of programme issues to deliver product feasibility and manufacturing launch readiness.


 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Experience of project management
  • Experience in using data driven problem solving techniques
  • Knowledge of working in a new product launch environment within Manufacturing
  • Experience of working in a quality focussed role
  • Microsoft package elements (Power Point & Excel)
