We drive quality into programme delivery by acting as the ‘voice of the customer’ and influencing the programme management teams to make customer driven decisions. 

 

You’ll focus on managing programme quality within the delivery of vehicle programmes, ensuring that we achieve the key quality targets set throughout the development of new vehicle programmes to achieve customer expectations.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

 

  • Programme risks management – Identification of programme risks, reporting out the status in associated forums and driving the risks to closure working with cross-functional team as well as ensuring the integrity of quality maturation via the assessment and validations of Critical to Quality (CtQ) deliverables through to Gateway approval
  • Ensure that all programme deliverables that are the responsibility of the programme quality team are delivered robustly and on time for all programmes within the scope of the role. Where deliverables are not delivered to plan ensure risk and issues are been managed either directly at the gateway via risk and recovery plans
  • Driving ITP (Integrated Test Plan) process from HTFB (Hard Tooled Functional Build) through to post / driving problem resolution and reduction of issues
  • Apply quality conscience to programme delivery by being the 'Voice of the Customer', influencing programme direction and decisions, and by delivering and improving company quality processes
  • Supporting engineering delivery with EBER reviews, DRBFM (Design Review Based on Failure Mode), Agile working and other forums throughout the programme delivery to provide quality input as applicable to provide the correct risk assessment

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • A demonstrative experience of programme and project management with specific knowledge of delivery frameworks (PCDS or other), deliverables and gateway governance
  • Ability to present complex issues in a succinct and straightforward manner to various levels of the business, demonstrating In-depth knowledge of engineering problem solving tools such as 8D, Sig Sigma, and engineering robustness tools such as P-Diagram and DFMEA (Design failure mode and effect analysis)
  • Competent Project Management skills, knowledge and experience in relevant fields of automotive, engineering or manufacturing
  • Experience of working with customer and competitor insight data to help drive product decisions
  • Experience of the Failure Mode Avoidance methodology within the systems engineering approach in JLR at feature, system, sub system, software or hardware level

 

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office.
