WHAT TO EXPECT
JLR Motorsport and Jaguar TCS Racing sits within the CEO / Corporate Affairs & Motorsport function and is responsible for all strategy, planning and delivery of successful motorsport activities for both Jaguar and Land Rover brands. Within this function is the Motorsport PR and Communications department whose responsibility includes the delivery of highly effective, PR and always on social media as part of Jaguar TCS Racing’s owned channels. Importantly the function is also responsible for digital communications and creative campaigns that utilise motorsport activities to enhance Jaguar TCS Racing and JLR’s brand reputation.
Supporting the Social and Digital Manager, the Senior Social & Digital Officer role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Jaguar TCS Racing’s owned social media channels, including creative content generation, community management, planning and analytics reporting. The candidate will also support the Social and Digital Manager in the execution of the digital and social strategy and assist in delivering market-leading campaigns for Jaguar TCS Racing and its commercial partners whilst working in tandem with the Jaguar Global Social Team to amplify motorsport through global channels.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Create compelling posts and assets to support the telling of the brand stories and the delivery of the digital strategy across a global calendar and build on an existing network of internal and external advocates to share and amplify Jaguar TCS Racing and product stories
• Provide input to the strategic and tactical planning of our partnership’s communications strategy and assist in the creation of content including videos, race assets, graphics and photography and support in monitoring KPIs, competitor awareness and benchmarking for each campaign
• Community management of the existing and future social media platforms including replying in a timely manner to media and fan enquiries with a consistent approach and warm tone of voice
• Help create market toolkits and provide support to market/global social teams and lead on the audience growth of Jaguar TCS Racing’s existing social media channels
• Explore opportunities for new developments / features on Jaguar TCS Racing’s existing social media channels; provide best-in-class social media support for our Drivers and Team Principal and assist the partnerships team to tell our commercial partners’ stories in an engaging way with a focus on the team’s Race to Innovate and Race to Inspire platforms via social media
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• Experience of managing global social media accounts on a day-to-day basis and working with content creation platforms e.g. Adobe Creative suite – Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro etc.
• Skilled in multiple stakeholder management, especially working with internal and external stakeholders
• Skilled in managing agency resource and in project management, forward planning, project planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
• Excellent written & verbal communications with high level of attention to detail
• Ability to tell important technical stories in an engaging way and strong numeracy and budgeting skills
