Come and join JLR as a Requirements Engineer – Chassis and play a pivotal role in advancing our Chassis Engineering department.
We are seeking a passionate engineer who is ready to drive innovation and help shape the future of automotive technology. In this dynamic position, you will be at the forefront of managing requirements management practices for cutting-edge multidisciplinary automotive systems that contribute to our iconic vehicles.
In this role, you will oversee the deployment of our in-house developed Requirements Management practices across chassis engineering teams. Your expertise will be essential as you elicit stakeholder needs, and model, analyse, verify, and validate requirements throughout the lifecycle of mechatronic systems—from early definition through systems architecture development. You will guide chassis engineers in adopting best practices in requirements engineering (RE), ensuring alignment with established principles and methodologies.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Support feature, attribute, and system/component owners in specifying requirements for chassis engineering systems, utilizing JLR Requirements Engineering (RE) practices
- Review and ensure the creation, baselining, review, linking, and tracking of requirements at a program level, adhering to JLR standards
- Serve as a key point of reference for the use of Requirements Management tools and guide requirements engineering lifecycle principles to chassis teams
- Influence the improvement of requirement management standards and publish body of knowledge including best practices
- Support internal and external review meetings for requirements exchange, generating status and traceability reports
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Demonstrated working experience in Requirements Engineering and proficiency in associated work products and documentation practices
- Proven experience with requirements management tools such as Dassault Systemes 3DX-TRM, DOORS, JAMA, or Polarian, with the ability to quickly learn new toolchains
- Strong ability to write concise requirements using recognized grammar/syntax methods (e.g., EARS) and evaluate individual requirements against established quality criteria (e.g., C3F, SMART, VAN)
- Solid understanding of requirement lifecycle management aspects, including version control, configurations, baselines, traceability, change management, and prioritization
- Self-motivated individual with excellent teamwork and communication skills
