WHAT TO EXPECT
This role will lead the implementation and delivery of the in-house UX/UI applications software for all the Infotainment displays across all JLR and Tata synergy projects.
The purpose of this role is to enable JLR agility and responsiveness to change, with much greater levels of efficiency than can be achieved with traditional Tier 1 software procurement, following the principles of the DPP Architecture “North Star”.
The key focus is to lead global software squads to develop the functional software Business Logic and View artefacts for onwards release into the central cockpit controller. This will involve leading highly technical squads of multi-skilled software, test, and tools engineers to maximise the value of deployed software product at every sprint.
A crucial aspect of this role is to lead the UX/UI applications software development for the Infotainment displays across all our brands and ensure that the solutions developed meet the needs of functional safety, cyber security, and toolchains to ensure portability and futureproofing across vehicle architectures. Here’s what to expect:
- Defining and maintaining the Infotainment UX/UI Software Roadmap.
- Owning the Infotainment UX/UI Software product backlog and stakeholder relationships.
- Leading the UX/UI applications software development using Agile best practices across global sites.
- Ensuring all produced software artefacts are tested with a high degree of automation and test coverage.
- Building software using JLR CI/CD pipelines, with tightly controlled versioning and traceability.
- Leading the development of UX/UI software using Android toolchain for the platform.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Extensive experience of initiating and growing technical product teams from inception to production.
- Experience of owning an AGILE product backlog and delivering products to customers at scale.
- Relevant previous experience of delivering complex software products using cross functional squads.
- Experience of managing complex stakeholder engagements.
- Proven experience of matrix management in an Agile environment and the ability to influence and assist squads with product impediments and risks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the time, cost and quality attributes of products throughout their life cycle.
