Working towards the creation and delivery of visible parts on the exterior, interior, and under-bonnet of all vehicles, this role will also be responsible for the creative processes at the earliest stage of a project, through to the co-ordination of feasible solutions, and releases to tooling

This is a creative role with involvement in the creation of brand new designs, through to the development of virtual and physical design properties to the highest level of maturity and refinement. 


  • Ability to work to a design brief
  • Maximize creative opportunities within the scope of a given brief
  • Innovative thinker when not confined by a specific brief
  • Capability to work with the wider team to deliver designs efficiently





  • Proven illustration and visual evaluation skills to visually and verbally communicate ideas and solutions
  • Proven experience of aesthetic judgement of surface, surface juxtaposition and appearance
  • Broad knowledge of engineering and production techniques and processes, and strong market / business acumen
  • Previous experience of the generation of designs for production and concept vehicles, including experience of visualising and communicating design solutions in 2D and 3D
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Essential IT skill – high level of Photoshop ability


  • IT skills, particularly with Design related systems, e.g. ALIAS / VRED / Power-Point
  • Strong understanding of surfacing requirements
  • Previous experience of the automotive industry, including competitor and market awareness
  • Some experience or knowledge of all design roles, from concept generation to production ready design delivery
