THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities
- You will be an innovation champion; leading complex vehicle concept and architectures workstreams; with high profile exposure across senior leadership of all Engineering functions as well as close collaboration with Strategy, Marketing and Industrial Operation teams
- Lead technology and vehicle concept projects
- Apply your numerical analysis and foundation engineering skills to lead a diverse team
- Define the best technical strategy, attribute targets and vehicle bandwidth and functional integration assumptions
- Articulate ‘why?’ your proposals deliver customer love, product greatness and business efficiency
- Influence a diverse stakeholder network to define & deliver compatible, pioneering enterprise solutions
- Use futuring data; benchmarking, insights and empathy to deliver solutions that others can’t imagine
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Exceptional technical leadership skills; a strategic mind, excellent planning & prioritising skills and you are a world class communicator and adaptable leader
- A passion for products and extensive track record in a Product Development environment
- Technically curious with a broad skill-set and understanding of industry and global trends
- Extensive experience of leading teams to deliver elegant product solutions to complex problems
- An excellent communicator with clear narrative, purpose and your audience in mind - you are adept at turning data into information to drive business decisions
- Humble and considerate collaborator, leader and supporter of others; expecting the highest standards of those around you and treating everyone with dignity and respect
- A proven track record of delivering strategic initiatives, planned projects and urgent action
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Product development project delivery experience - planning & delivering complex project demands within challenging constraints
- Experience and knowledge of the broader automotive industry, brands, trends, products and customer needs
- Familiarity with use of 3D CAD systems, PLM, database and other technical software tools & approaches
- Relevant degree and experience in Industrial Design, Engineering or another highly technical discipline
- Thrive on change and be committed to transforming customer experiences and growing our business
- A working knowledge of programme & project delivery processes, experience of Agile scaling or scrum methods, JIRA & Confluence, SAFe®
