WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Join JLR as a Communications Manager for our Industrial Operations team, where you will play a crucial role in shaping our internal and supplier communication strategies. Enhancing stakeholder engagement. This position sits within our global Corporate Affairs and Motorsport chapter, which is dedicated to delivering high-quality, impactful communications that resonate with both internal teams and external partners. Your expertise will be instrumental in not only promoting, but protecting our brand company and brands and ensuring alignment across all communication channels and stakeholders and channels.

 

In this dynamic role, you will lead a talented team of internal and supplier communications officers, driving the delivery of targeted messaging, events, and campaigns that support our Industrial Operations objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Industrial Operations, serving as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team. Your ability to manage multiple projects and foster strong relationships will be key to effectively communicating our priorities and initiatives.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Lead, develop, and grow the IO communications team to enhance performance and effectiveness
  • Deliver the overarching strategic communications plan for supplier and internal IO communications across various channels
  • Ensure timely delivery of targeted messaging, events, and campaigns to internal and supplier audiences, maintaining the highest quality standards while protecting and promoting the business
  • Support the delivery of global events for our suppliers and colleagues
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Industrial Operations, acting as a true business partner to align communications strategies with business goals
  • Develop high-level strategic relationships with the IO chapter senior leadership team and prepare reports, presentations, and management information for leadership and stakeholders, utilizing data and metrics to provide feedback and improvement recommendations on engagement best practices

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Proven experience in corporate communications, with a focus on engaging complex and diverse internal and external audiences and supplier audiences
  • Strong spoken and written communication abilities, demonstrated through a successful track record in various professional contexts
  • Experience in the production and management of content and events, showcasing organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong planning and general organisational experience. Ability to manage and present information to senior leaders using data and metrics
  • In-depth understanding of key communications and engagement practices, both tactical and strategic, to effectively drive initiatives. Experience in leading teams and engaging with senior stakeholders to secure their support and buy-in for projects
