WHAT TO EXPECT
This is an exciting opportunity to join the innovative and progressive Raw Materials Organisation.  
Raw Materials Metals is one of the most rapidly changing industries in the automotives and reporting to the Sourcing & Category Procurement Manager, you will have global responsibility for JLR’s Scrap positively contributing to achieving a fully circular economy and significantly contributing to JLR’s decarbonisation targets.
 
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Steel Strategy Buyer, you will be responsible for the sourcing of all new JLR carlines from inception to launch, selecting supplier partners based on the QCDIS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Sustainability) principles that have been recommended in the Supplier Commodity Dossier.
• Using experience in change management, you will be integral in managing the suppliers transition from Blast Furnaces to Electric Arc Furnaces in what will be one of the most rapidly changing industries in the next decade.  You will be responsible for helping to achieve the Raw Materials Supplier Assurance targets set for each FY, using contract excellence to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• You  will be responsible for forming close, collaborative relationships with the suppliers whilst also looking at opportunities to qualify new/existing suppliers to ensure the right value is created for JLR.
• You will plan and execute a robust Supplier Relationship Management strategy for your suppliers in line with the future strategy - based on QCDIS criteria and supplier segmentation.

 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

•  Experience sourcing complex, high value commodities 
•  Familiarity with drafting contract framework agreements.
•  Strong negotiation skills to ensure JLR are getting Value for Money (VFM) from their suppliers, strong analytical skills, using Excel to gather and interpret data for enhanced understanding and creative problem solving.
•  Highly effective at building relationships and networking, proactively collaborating with key stakeholders internally and externally. 
• A results driven attitude ready to learn and support the Raw Materials team in their success
