WHAT TO EXPECT 

International Upgrade is part of Industrial Operations Program Delivery (IOPD), based at JLR Fen End. International Upgrade are responsible for upgrading all saleable JLR Pre-Production (TT/PP/IB) vehicles to an external customer saleable condition. You’ll be carrying out manufacturer approved electrical, mechanical, body/trim reworks, and updating the software on them. You’ll undertake workshop investigations into complex vehicle issues, and play a pivotal role to ensure the timely completion of all agreed rectification work. You’ll also be actively involved to ensure that the workshop meets the H+S and Environmental standards.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle assembly, along with vehicle servicing capability.

• Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
• Knowledge of PHEV/MHEV/BEV systems would be an advantage
• Experience using Topix Cloud service tool
• Time served recognised indentured/certificated Advanced Apprenticeship or Armed Forces equivalent (I.e. Advanced Modern Apprenticeship, Craft Apprenticeship, IMI certificated Advanced Apprenticeship).
• As a minimum - City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Automotive/Engineering discipline ideally motor vehicle repair (light or heavy)
• Must recognise safe working practices, including Health & Safety and environmental regulations.
