WHAT TO EXPECT  

Accessories is an independent function within JLR, and we are seeking an Attribute Concept Engineer to join the growing Accessories Attributes team.  

In this role, you will contribute to the early phases of Accessories programmes, focusing on defining and optimizing the client experience of our products through collaboration with teams in Commercial, Creative, and Engineering areas. You will bring your passion for quality, continuous improvement, and innovation to ensure our products meet the highest standards for both internal and external customers.  

The Attribute Concept Engineer will report to the Accessories Attributes Manager and work closely with Concept Phase and Development Lead Engineers, supporting the robust delivery of vehicle and product attributes through measurement, balancing, and trade-offs.  

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Assist with defining and developing attribute targets using benchmarking, futuring activities, and both physical and virtual testing.  

• Plan and execute data gathering to inform customer experience insights and attribute target development.  

• Conduct research and analysis of JLR and competitor products, market trends, and customer insights.  

• Leverage best practices and internal tools, such as fleet and warranty data, to inform benchmarking and data gathering.  

• Support target definition and requirements cascade using tools like RMDV, DOORS, TRM, and XRay.  

WHAT YOU’LL NEED  

• Experience in a vehicle or product engineering environment.  

• Proven ability to independently conduct research and data analysis.  

• Experience with procedure-based product appraisals and testing.  

• Demonstrated ability to deliver clear and robust documentation (e.g., test reports, benchmarking documents).  

• Basic knowledge of customer product attributes and engineering project management fundamentals.
