WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Connected Diagnostics department is responsible for the delivery of the Software Over the Air (SOTA) and Connected Diagnostic Services set, this encompasses the feature definition, architecture design, development, integration and launch – spanning both EVA2 and future architectures.  Both SOTA and CDS are at the start of their journey with a large feature set to be delivered to users across Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and the end Customer. Whilst having to deliver evolving capability to each vehicle programme plan, the Connected Diagnostics team are also balancing an agile method of software development and delivery, which is based on a combination of longer term roadmap alignment and quick-term software development based on insights derived from remote data capture.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a group of in-house and outsourced Software Development teams to support the development and delivery of SOTA and CDS capability.  You will work in the Programmes team and manage a portfolio of projects to expand our capability as we continue to grow and adapt our business. 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

●    Own Sprint Kanban with delivery responsibility of content from Design Freeze through to completion
●    Coordinate teams in daily stand-ups
●    Lead Sprint retrospectives and align feedback with programme team and other relevant stakeholders
●    Coordinate Risk and Issues log with project managers
●    Coordinate with Design teams for Design completion ahead of sprint start
●    Coordinate with workshop and testing teams for content Validation and Verification

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED 

 

Essential:
●    Experience managing multiple projects on time and to high quality
●    Experience managing stakeholders
●    Experience as a software developer and/or delivering software projects
●    Experience working within an Agile framework
●    MS Office skills – experienced using Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.  
●    Experience with JIRA
●    Relevant degree or equivalent experience 
●    Experience of working to tight deadlines
 
Desirable:
●    Experience working in a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) or DEVOPS environment
●    PRINCE 2 Practitioner
●    Experience with requirements management tools such as Dassault toolchains
●    Understanding of automotive systems, practices and procedures
