WHAT TO EXPECT
This role will manage, deliver and ensure the Aftermarket Parts Supply Chain Operational Readiness for Li-Ion batteries.
This involves understanding the future supply chain and business Electric Vehicle (EV) strategy & requirements and bringing them to life by delivering this essential workstream as part of the wider cross functional project.
The role will focus on the successful implementation of warehouse storage facilities both in the UK & Internationally and successful 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) service provider integration into those facilities focusing on Li-Ion Batteries. This will support ensuring a robust operation is set up to provide replacement batteries and associated service parts to our global customers in line with JLR’s plan to increase EV production across multiple new vehicle platforms from 2025/26 onwards.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Warehouse network agreed and established to meet full business requirements for client service levels
- Clear & structured project management of operational implementations across regions
- 3rd Party Logistics providers engaged & contracted with standard processes in place and training completed
- Operational readiness for receipt and dispatch in line with vehicle program & manufacturing timing
- Meeting key project & vehicle program milestones and deliverables
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Proven experience in logistics operations setup and implementations
- Strong experience of delivering operational projects
- Experience of working with multiple 3rd Party Logistics Providers
- Able to forge excellent cross-functional relationships and communicate succinctly across a number of functions and partners
