Come and join JLR as a DevOps Product Delivery Lead – Payroll & Time & Attendance, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital landscape. You’ll be at the heart of our transformation journey, helping to drive innovation and continuous improvement across our Hire to Retire processes.
As a DevOps Product Delivery Lead, you’ll be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the technical delivery and change management of a prioritised backlog that spans legal and mandatory updates, business-critical enhancements, and strategic improvements. This includes overseeing day-to-day operations such as technical upgrades, maintenance, and incident resolution, while also shaping the long-term product roadmap in collaboration with our suppliers and technology partners. It’s a high-impact role that blends strategic thinking with hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Take the lead in translating business strategy into a clear and actionable digital product vision, shaping detailed technical requirements that align with DevOps principles. You'll bring hands-on experience in building and optimising CI/CD pipelines to drive continuous improvement
- Own the technical direction of product roadmaps, working closely with product managers and developers to ensure alignment with the latest technologies and business priorities
- Champion system reliability, scalability, and security, collaborating with product teams to ensure our platforms are robust, future-ready, and built to perform
- Oversee deployment environments and operational performance, proactively troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth, stable technical operations across the board
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, leading sessions that reflect on delivery performance, identify opportunities, and shape future ways of working
- Lead the prioritisation process for development teams, ensuring the most valuable work is clearly defined, well-sequenced, and delivered at pace
- Shape and manage the product backlog, coordinating the creation of detailed use cases and business requirements, and ensuring all work is peer-reviewed, well-documented, and ready for delivery
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Strong enterprise IT background with proven experience operating within complex environments, including a solid understanding of systems architecture, infrastructure, and how large-scale platforms interact
- Track record of successful IT delivery, demonstrating a clear focus on outcomes, effective prioritisation, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations at all levels
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles, including hands-on experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation to enhance delivery pipelines and system performance
- Domain expertise in payroll, time & attendance, or workforce management systems, with a strong grasp of associated business processes, compliance requirements, and technical considerations
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence, with the ability to manage and maintain backlogs, document technical and business processes, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work. At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work. Some roles require more on-site work, but details of this can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview stage.
We work hard to nurture a culture that is inclusive and welcoming to all. We understand candidates may require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. Please discuss these with your recruiter so we can accommodate your needs.
Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome. If you’re unsure that you meet the full criteria of a role – but you're interested in where it could take you – we still encourage you to apply. We believe in people's ability to grow and develop within their role – it’s what makes living the exceptional with soul possible.
