WHAT TO EXPECT:

JLR has an opportunity to work with the latest technology that makes modern luxury.

 

The role is to lead a toolroom within the West Midlands Stamping Operations and lead a team of 46 associates which have a variety of roles which include Toolmaking, Machinists & Apprentices.  

 

As a Toolroom Supervisor, you will lead this team to provide Tool & Die support to the press shop to maximise production efficiencies, die maintenance and all associated equipment in the toolroom. You will also be responsible for die performance & corrective maintenance
    
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day supervision to the toolroom to ensure a safe and efficient performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & the Environment framework
  • Support and maintain the balance of each shifts headcount and ensure it is within operational constraints to achieve operational targets
  • Lead the team to carry out Total Productive Maintenance programme and running checks / repairs to press tooling
  • Follow Total Productive Maintenance system and feedback continuous improvement to our Engineering team for future press tooling
  • Manage the collating of information for the shifts within the area so continuous communications are present for all area representatives

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Experience of leading people
  • A thorough understanding of press tool design, methods and technologies
  • Knowledge and familiarity with key processes, facilities and technologies used throughout the pressed parts process chain
  • Demonstrate experience of working with trade unions
  • Flexibility to work shifts
