WHAT TO EXPECT
This role focuses on the technical development of all new and mid-cycle vehicle programs. The primary aim is to ensure that Jaguar Land Rover Product Engineering decisions have the necessary strategic and technical foundation, to ensure future business success.
The role will work on the whole of vehicle engineering and will have exposure to the key areas that influence vehicle development, interacting across engineering functions and attribute teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work on the successful resolution of technical conflicts to achieve the overall product assumptions & attributes in line with the target costs, commonality, and variety
- Liaise with component owners and suppliers to address seamless integration of network files across various tool-chain vendors and stacks
- Responsible for providing expert technical guidance and contributing to product creation and delivery
- Responsible to contribute to the chapter Body of Knowledge
- Responsible to contribute to the continuous improvement of the network design delivery process
- Responsible for the design and maintenance of a central Network design model
- Accountable for the quality of the engineering artifacts (e.g. requirements, system design, and architecturemodels)
- Accountable for ensuring the Network design meets global regulated requirements, Functional Safety requirements, and JLR design standards and guidelines
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Essential:
- 3-5 years experience in relevant roles and responsibilities
- Significant knowledge of Vehicle Systems/Distributed Systems
- Significant knowledge of System Engineering processes/methods/tools and their use in the design and delivery of complex Products
- Significant knowledge in Network technologies and SW architectures
- Significant experience in creating system solutions with relevant Functional Safety and Cybersecurityconstraints
- Experienced with working within an agile Framework - (e.g. SCRUM, SAFe, LeSS) and Agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Bachelor-level degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a similar discipline
Desirable:
- Experience with Network design tools eg. Capital Networks, Preevision
- Knowledgeable in Autosar standards
- Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps
- Experience with Service-oriented architectures
- Experience in software development in Python, C#, or similar
- Experience with logging tools such as Canalyzer/Canoe, Vehicle Spy, Wireshark
