WHAT TO EXPECT
You will have the opportunity to join the Digital Product Platform, a key part of JLR Engineering with the mission to build a digital & data platform-based architecture and build a highly desirable business and customer experience.
In JLR we leverage System Engineering's state-of-the-art methodologies to create frictionless and curated experiences and this is where this role comes to play.
As a Communication System Architect, you would be the central point of contact for a vehicle-level system of system design. You would be responsible for delivering an architecture for features across all the domains within the vehicle. You will directly contribute to product delivery across all the domains within the vehicle.
By curating and applying best-in-class methods you will contribute to designing and architecting systems that will simplify people’s lives, seamlessly integrated into a connected world, easy to use, and uncluttered.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Responsible for providing expert technical guidance and contributing to product creation and delivery
- Responsible to contribute to the chapter Body of Knowledge
- Responsible for the design and maintenance of a central metamodel for System Architecture
- Accountable for the quality of the engineering artifacts (e.g. requirements, system design, and architecture models)
- Accountable for ensuring the requirements meet global regulated requirements, Functional Safety requirements, and JLR design standards and guidelines
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Essential:
- 3-5 years experience in relevant roles and responsibilities
- Significant knowledge of Vehicle Systems/Distributed Systems
- Significant knowledge of System Engineering processes/methods/tools and their use in the design and delivery of complex Products
- Significant knowledge in Network technologies and SW architectures
- Significant experience with the application of Modelling (incl MBSE) and Simulation to systems engineering process
- Significant experience in creating system solutions with relevant Functional Safety and Cybersecurity constraints
- Experienced with working within an agile Framework - (e.g. SCRUM, SAFe, LeSS) and Agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Bachelor-level degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline
Desirable:
- Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (Autosar/Proto buff)
- Experience in CI/CD
- Experience in Autosar
- Experience in delivering automotive Software components
- Experience with the Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE Platform
