WHAT TO EXPECT
This role is a key strategic position within the Advanced Electrification group of the next generation Electrified Powertrain. The purpose of the role is to establish and end-to-end CAE toolchain for our future BEV power electronics, from semiconductor device to the HV system level.
This toolchain and methodology will yield precise and predictable outputs sufficient to enable JLR to fully exploit optimisation opportunities of the components within the HV system. You will be working with multiple stakeholders, from our internal simulation and design teams, as well as strategic suppliers and partners.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
For Next Generation Electrified Products across voltage, current, environmental and lifetime conditions

Generate, Apply and Integrate SiC Loss Models in conjunction with Partners

Deep Dive in conjunction with Partners into optimising the critical high power conversion stages

Generate Apply and Integrate Inverter/Battery/eMotor/DC-DC/Charger Loss Models
-
Generate Apply and Integrate Wiring and Interconnect Loss Models
-
Apply Key or limiting Use Cases
-
Analyse Outputs and Identify efficiency improvements compared to current status

Generate Standardized Reports and Input parametrisation
-
Run sensitivity Analysis
-
Define Validation Test Cases and validate model
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:

Multiphysics Modelling and Modelling Tools

Integration and alignment of different modelling environments

Understanding of the loss components in key electrified components

Understanding of SiC switch operation and the loss components
Desirable:
