This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to join our Assisted and Automated Driving (ADAS) team based at our Software Development Centre of Excellence in Shannon. Our Assisted and Automated Driving team brings together expertise in automated driving, computer science and vehicle connectivity.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • The role requires the candidate to have experience in design and development of Embedded Software for complex projects.
  • You will be part of a cross functional squad who will be responsible for writing software requirements from system requirements, architecting software based on the software requirements, designing software, reviewing software, unit testing of the software and integration of the software to the overall product.
  • Designing software from the software requirements and working across teams and departments to flag issues and requirements.
  • Testing the relevant software to validate the requirements and adhere to ASPICE standards.
  • Interact with Operating systems to architect the code to run as expected on the Hardware environments.

 

It is integral for this individual to have the strength of character to drive non expert software engineers and mechanical engineers to support the development of robust code.

 

What You’ll Need

 

Essential:

 

  • Ideally significant development experience C++ and automotive development experience.
  • Exposure to RTOS/HLOS experience (e.g. Linux, QNX).
  • Exposure to coding standards (ex MISRA) & experience with Automotive Functional Safety ISO 26262.
  • Knowledge of automotive networks & protocols (CANFD, ETH UDP, SomeIP, HTTPs, protobuf).
  • Knowledge of software structures and architectures as well as an understanding of the software development process and industry tool sets.
  • Knowledge of how to define the system variability, error handling and robustness processes.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electronics hardware platforms.

 

Desirable:

 

  • Python, Bash scripting.
  • Experience of model based design.
  • Ideally Adaptive Autosar experience, classic is a bonus.
  • Experience with ALM toolsets, JIRA/Confluence/Xray and experience in git.
  • Experience with Maps in automotive and ADAS context (HD maps, Navigation maps, ADASIS protocols)
