The Opportunity
This role will play a fundamental part in ensuring JLR Classic develops a unique position in the Classic Car world, in which we as a manufacturer offer both income generating and also brand building customer events and experiences that competitors cannot match, whilst at the same time ensuring we maintain order books and on target profit performance. Leveraging our Classic vehicle collection, you will work with customers and brand partners to deliver experiences ‘that money can’t buy’ and also ensure associated sales of profitable Classic products and services as a result. A unique role that will suit a commercially astute and customer focused individual, keen to create a mini ‘start up’ business in Classic.    

 

Key Performance Indicators
•    Add to the order bank for programmes/used cars through delivery of experiences
•    Deliver at least 2 “headline” promotional activities per year as well as a series of smaller activities
•    Deliver all events at minimum cost neutral but ideally profitable to Classic. Focus is associated sales of profitable products and services
•    Ensure all milestones are identified and promoted in the appropriate year

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement a profitable/minimum cash neutral experiences business utilising the collection fleet, Classic Works and partner locations
•    Leverage and develop a (brand) partner network to create positive network effects on the experiences
•    Implement appropriate marketing and branding that comes from the classic team to ensure visual standards are met through an appropriate governance model
•    Define the standards for a classic experience and work with appropriate cross functional teams to ensure a premium offering that meets all required corporate standards
•    Be customer facing and represent Classic in a professional and courteous manner at all times
•    Realise sales of Classic products/services through customer participation in the experiences business
•    Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:

•    Have an in depth and credible knowledge of the brand
•    Be known and respected by the wider Jaguar Land Rover or classic community
•    Be knowledgeable of competitors, clubs and associations connected to the brand
•    Have a strong network both internally and externally of people and organisations that would be beneficial 
•    Have a track record of previously hosting and running company events
•    Have enough personal stature to host and liaise with high net worth, senior and or well-known clients and guests and proactively start the sales process at ease
•    Excellent presentation skills
•    Effective time management and a willingness to “get the job done”

Desirable:
•    Foreign languages
•    International work experience
•    Strong interest in luxury brands, products and services
