Manufacturing Product Integration are focused on delivering all elements of manufacturing programme cost, quality and timing objectives as well as being a driving force for overall programme performance.

This is achieved through pre-production builds in our pilot plants, running of evaluation units around the globe and interaction with and co-ordination of Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Suppliers and the Marketing, Sales & Service activities to deliver robust vehicle launches through JLR production facilities. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead completion of build readiness activities.
  • Manage delivery of build programmes as per build plan timing.
  • Lead overall planning & delivery of quality metrics vs programme targets along with leading the development of, plan and coordinate QFA area activities.
  • Lead team to deliver on project objectives, e.g. Cost, quality and timing.
  • Take a lead role in Build Planning reviews & creation of detailed build plans to meet programme team requirements.
  • Lead daily reviews with COC, NMP, MP&L & Programme team to ensure build progress.
  • Ensure application of Pilot Operations Quality Operating System and management of Pilot Plant KPIs.
  • Management of issues identified through pre-production builds.
  • Management of critical data collection and recording through pre-production builds.
  • Lead development and management of budgets for all builds.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in structured problem solving of build and launch issues.
  • Promote continuous improvement via Lessons Learned and the use of Best Practice.
  • Support the successful development of manufacturing plans for prototype and pre-production builds and launch, along with their successful delivery.
  • Represent MPI launch readiness and build reviews.
  • Support programme readiness activities e.g.  ACV, Dry Build and Post Build.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Manufacturing Launch Budget.
  • Prepare and present accurate & objective status reports in support of Launch Management and Senior Programme Gateway reviews

 

Requirements:

  • Lead delivery of MPI launch actions utilising flawless launch principles via the Launch Quality Operating System (LQOS).
  • Preparation of accurate and objective Programme status reports in support of Launch Management requirements.
  • Co-ordinate Pre Production Build and Launch Budget planning for the Manufacturing & Pilot Plants.
  • Management / utilisation of LQOS, i-3, AIMS & rework/containment databases
  • Engage Pre-volume vehicle rework planning and delivery.
  • Lead planning and delivery of pre-volume vehicle build specification matrices and build events.
  • Co-ordinate Open to go meetings and liaison to Change Management process.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in structured problem solving of build and launch issues.
  • Promote continuous improvement via Lessons Learned and the use of Best Practice.
  • Lead development of Launch Budget framework for programme gateways.
  • Lead MPI role in Pilot Plant based reviews.
  • The role will require the supervision of MPI team members.
