JOB TITLE: Environment and Energy Manager
SALARY: Base salary 2183€ per month, depending on your experience and skills, yearly bonus 0-15% (paid year)

Base salary 2183€ per month, depending on your experience and skills, yearly bonus 0-15% (paid yearly)

 

The main purpose of this role will be to manage an experienced team in support of sequencing and allocation of scheduling production requirements and to report key metrics for the business excellence. There will also be a requirement to deliver strategic development opportunities to meet the key delivery scorecard metrics. It is essential to ensure robust environmental compliance, deliver energy efficiency, and cost reduction opportunities. The role is embedded within the site and has significant influence over environmental topics.

This role is essential to support onsite activities. This will be leading and co-ordinating obtaining permits, working with the manufacturing team, developing environmental ownership with operational staff.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Management of the team to ensure delivery metrics are set to execute production operations and to ensure production is fully supported
  • Interact with manufacturing and management support teams such as finance, purchasing and HR and ensure best practice is implemented during production
  • Act as a local point of contact during permit activities. This may be to support public interaction and maintaining business compliance
  • Drive the site commitment to Destination Zero, supporting Environmental projects, and lead Environmental communications within the site
  • Engage with the Corporate Environmental team, and drive delivery of site environmental compliance & improvement EMS and full population of the Environmental reporting (Database SOFI)
  • Report compliance and environmental management to senior personnel for comparison with other business activities

 

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Environmental Legislation – EU and Local Slovakian
  • Demonstrable experience of improving Environment and Energy Management Systems
  • Thorough knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues, ideally within the automotive industry or comparable industry, with experience and knowledge of construction activities
  • Experience in providing training to improve knowledge of the wider team on site
  • Degree in  Science, Environment or Engineering with 10 years experience in a relevant field
  • Relevant previous experience of managing teams and cross functional management
  • Driving change through implementation of best practice at early  operation stages
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, excellent PC skills
  • Experience of vehicle build and production
  • Local lead with regulator liaison
  • Fluent in English and Slovak

 

Desirable:

  • Masters in Environmental Management or energy management
  • Membership of professional body relevant to the role
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Industry Standards in Automotive
  • Thorough Understanding and Application of Lean Tools and Techniques for Problem Solving
  • Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Personable, Good negotiator
