Jaguar Land Rover is harnessing technology to make driving smarter, safer and cleaner. You can help create a world in which responsible, sustainable vehicles revolutionise the driving experience for generations. Our vision is to leverage the incredible potential of technology to build vehicles that not only offer a premium, all-encompassing digital experience, but that also make our customers lives better.

The Opportunity

We are Jaguar Land Rover, and we’re in Manchester. We believe that all our customers deserve a great connected digital experience, and you have a chance to be a part of realising that vision. We’re on a journey to transform the digital future of our great brands, designing and building innovative systems and products for one of the world’s leading luxury automotive brands in new and exciting ways.

We are building out a digital platform which is central to Jaguar Land Rover’s digital strategy.  The right candidate will have a central role to the development of this digital platform, how it grows and iterates over time, and how the teams that deliver it do to.

We’re looking for an experienced Agile delivery lead to facilitate and lead our digital product and service engagements with JLR. You'll support the team in solving difficult problems, uncovering challenges, managing relationships, and ensuring our deliveries drive and exceed our standards e2e.

This role is a unique opportunity to help define, support and grow a digital capability within Jaguar Land Rover. You’ll be working closely with our multi-disciplined teams with opportunities to learn and enhance your career. You’ll have opportunities to contribute to the strategic direction of the products we deliver, as well as inspiring and influencing the wider organisation as we transform how Jaguar Land Rover builds and operates digital vehicles, together.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Delivery of products using appropriate agile methodologies, learning & iterating frequently
  • Ensuring the teams have everything they need to succeed in delivering work and their processes are optimal
  • End to end involvement, supporting, facilitating and driving the right process, behaviours and outcomes at each stage of the Product lifecycle
  • Helping our Product teams and their stakeholders build, maintain and prioritise product roadmaps and backlogs, ensuring they are deliverable at the right time
  • Play a key role in team culture and spirit
  • Doing the ‘Day to day; well, including facilitation of scrum teams for greater creativity and improved efficiency, managing the scrum process and the coordination of multiple scrum teams
  • Metrics and Agile ‘reporting’ and lean governance alongside key project stakeholders

What you'll need

  • Experience in managing agile delivery through multi-disciplinary teams in a CE/CI/CD environment
  • Agile/Lean advocate with experience of the full lifecycle, from UX and high-quality user stories to driving a satisfactory MVP and beyond
  • Experience working with and supporting the major roles and functions of Product Development teams, including Product Managers, Product Owners and Analysts
  • Working with Stakeholders at all levels
  • Can explain and apply the fundamentals of Agile, DevOps, iterative software development and incremental delivery to both the new and the experienced
  • Successfully applied Agile/XP/Scrum practices and introduced Agile techniques - you may have coached teams to apply these techniques effectively, even at scale
  • An adaptable and pragmatic approach and a curious mind, continually asking ‘why’
  • An appreciation of what ‘better’ looks like, and the will to make improvements happen
  • Building and sustaining team culture and spirit

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office. At Jaguar Land Rover, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees with more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work, if suitable for their role. Further details can be discussed with the Hiring Manager at interview stage.
