JOB TITLE: Product Performance and Calibrations Manager - Assisted and Automated Driving (ADAS)

This is a brand-new team within our Assisted and Automated Driving function and you will have direct responsibility for the calibration team, planning the recruitment and development of necessary skills by means of training & coaching. You will play a leading role in developing the software configuration and calibration roadmap and strategy and ensure that requirements collection is managed effectively.


Your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Create the configuration and calibration strategy for all the Assisted and Automated Driving systems
  • Capture and understand key customer needs, and develop a set of performance indicators that measure and characterise the target customer experience
  • Define and apply “Design for calibration” principles in each stage of the development cycle, ensuring each element in the system is designed to support the overall calibration strategy
  • Define the methodology and toolchain required to deliver the calibration strategy
  • Build the team and capabilities required to develop, integrate and deliver calibrations that meet the performance targets.





You will be a technically strong Calibration Engineering Leader who will be responsible to define the toolchain and align the toolchain usage with business partners and suppliers. You will evolve and maintain the body of knowledge, toolchain and skills required to develop, integrate and deliver calibrations for Assisted and Automated Driving.


You will have experience leading a team of 10-20 talented engineers and have experience working with your team to train, develop, mentor and recruit. Experience with process alignment and development across the calibration department will be seen as important for this opportunity.







  • Significant experience of distributed vehicle systems calibration delivery, from development through to production
  • Significant experience in leading a technical team responsible for SW configuration and calibration, for safety critical systems
  • Strong working knowledge of whole vehicle and systems integration
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety (FuSa) and Safety of the Intended Function (SOTIF)




  • Project management experience with complex systems
  • Knowledge of Assisted and Automated driving architectures and solutions
  • Understanding and experience of the principles of 6-sigma
  • Experience in delivering automotive HW/SW integrated products.
  • Knowledgeable in automotive electronic HW/SW components and automotive networks
  • Experienced with agile Frameworks - (SCRUM, Kanban, or SAFE) and Agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence.

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office.
