The Customer Device Integration (CDI) team is integral to making this a reality by leveraging in-house and 3rd party technology. Our mission is to give our customers best-in-class in-vehicle functional integration of Phone Projection technologies for our customers, such as Apple CarPlay, Google AndroidAuto, Baidu CarLife, CarLink and HiCar.

The Product will iterate towards best-in-class seamless and intuitive solution to use the Phone Projection technologies (Apple-CarPlay, Google-AndroidAuto) and embrace the powerful eco-system from 3rd party Apps (e.g. Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, WhatsApp) and voice personal assistant features such as Apple Siri and Google Assistant.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic senior systems engineer who can help us deliver our vision. This role is perfect for someone with a knack for problem solving, systems requirements and design experience, and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• End to end requirements engineering related to CDI product domain (Apple CarPlay, Google AndroidAuto, Baidu CarLife, CarLink and HiCar)
• Systems modelling using SysML tools and techniques
• Collaborate with other multi-disciplined teams to ensure components work well together
• Conduct technical reviews and feasibility studies
• Provide technical and logistical support to the Customer Device Interaction team and other related teams
• Root cause analysis on defects, identify interim and permanent fixes, and validate the fixes
• Manage suppliers’ delivery of functionality and fixes
• Manage 3rd party certification service supplier activity
• Provide technical support for design review/root cause analysis and solution development to address design topics relating to quality issues (AIMs/PRs/PACs) in CDI product domain;
• Participate in the Systems Engineering chapter, such as contributing to best practices and technical reviews of other teams’ artifacts

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment
• High proficiency in requirements definition and requirements management tools, such as TRM (Traceable Requirements Management system) and DOORs
• Experience in model-based systems engineering SysML tools and techniques (such as Catia Magic System of Systems, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect)
• Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering
• Experience of Smartphone integration via USB & Bluetooth/WiFi (i.e. Apple-CarPlay, Google-AndroidAuto);
• Ability to author and review requirements
• Hold a formal qualification such as degree within, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant subject
