WHAT TO EXPECT

 

As the Commodity Quality Leader, you will develop and deliver a comprehensive and aligned strategy for the Calibration and Controls Quality department.

 

You will be expected to manage the team responsible for the resolution of customer issues relating to Calibration and Controls of the Transmission, ICE and BEV, and to embed quality best practices, methods, standards, processes and tools across the Calibration and Controls department.

 

Key accountibilities and responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure capable, robust and documented quality methods across all attributes and systems supporting robust calibration releases
  • Develop efficient, standardised and automated quality data processes
  • Establish and coordinate quality improvement projects across the department
  • 8D issue management, IQM update and technical report up to Director level
  • Drive common approaches for tools, analysis techniques, processes and reports in order to improve Calibration and Controls issue determination, resolution and implementation
  • Accountable for software related engineering changes and their management into service and manufacturing

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • Knowledge of Powertrain calibration and controls systems (Transmission, ICE and BEV), ideally to a detailed level.
  • Delivery of Engineering and or analytical projects preferably within the automotive industry
  • Experience of solving complex technical issues using a structured approach such as 6 sigma, 8D, DMAIC
  • Proven Systems Engineering knowledge i.e. interactions between engine calibration, Engine/PTSE hardware and vehicle sub-systems
