At JLR, the Assisted & Automated Driving (AAD) Features and Systems Team are responsible for delivering the Customer Products and the end-to-end systems that are shaping JLR’s automated driving future, working with industry leading partners, to develop cutting-edge solutions that will  enable our customers live simpler and safer, in a new era of modern luxury. 


The role includes the opportunity to design and define the way in which Assisted and Automated Driving Features can support our customers in their everyday journeys, through a combination of driving aids, accident mitigation, driving assistance and driving automation. 


The role will require a customer focussed individual who can provide objective analysis of the user behaviour to support the definition of functional and performance related requirements associated with the features to support Jaguar Land Rover’s vision of Zero Road Traffic Incidents.  


Do you have what it takes? 




Create and validate  Customer features through the use of simulation tools chains and support integration into physical demonstrators to validate the customer experience.   


Work with the Global Markets to ensure market specific and regulatory requirements are included in feature definition.   


Benchmarking of competitor features to ensure Jaguar Land Rover remains competitive within Assisted and Automated Driving.   


Understanding global customer quality issues with current features to improve customer experience definition to fix and remove systemic customer concerns and pain points. 


We expect problem solving to be part of your DNA, defining and conducting Design of Experiments through User Trails to document how our assistance and automation systems should perform every time.  




  • The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and a long-term strategic thinker, with the drive to deliver ultimate quality and refinement.  
  • Knowledge and experience of assisted and automated driving. 
  • Hold a formal qualification such as degree within Systems Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or other STEM relevant subject. 
  • Excellent communicator and the ability to present technical ideas and issues to all levels of the company. 
  • The ability to interface and work well with others 




  • Knowledge of Simulator SW (CarSim, Unreal, CarMaker, DriveSim) 
  • Six Sigma Knowledge & Techniques 
  • Working Experience of Agile Methods 
  • Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering 
  • Experience with regulations and safety standards such as Euro NCAP 
  • Knowledge of good requirements writing and management 
  • Data interrogation techniques
