Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) are a key part of the SO Organisation delivering World Class Products that amplify our core brand values in Ultimate Luxury, Ultimate Sports Performance and Ultimate Capability.

 

Our World Class Engineering Team is currently looking for a Technical Analyst who will work with the Module Team and our lead engineers across the SVO Propulsion team. The Technical Analyst will work with and actively help the lead engineers to raise Purchase orders for parts to help prototype builds, and manage orders and spend profiles for supplier engineering spend and purchased services contracts.

 

They will also assist the Module leaders with the management and presentation of the technical engineering metrics (technical Issues, engineering releases, gateway deliverables, test planning and sign-off status, component sourcing status and PSW) to help project delivery and inputs to the SVO Programme and Vehicle engineering teams.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

The purpose of this role is to provide l technical project delivery help and co-ordination for the wider SVO Propulsion team across all delivery projects in the areas of; engineering spend and purchase orders, programme metrics reporting, quality assurance processes, project management processes & general communications.

 

•    Act as the prime interface between the Engineering and Finance teams for the delivery of the Propulsion systems and components for vehicle programmes.
•    Act as the prime interface between the Engineering and Finance teams for the management of the supplier development costs and engineering services contracts.
•    Help the Module leaders in the reporting of key technical programme metrics & deliverables as defined by the SVO Propulsion team.
•    Work with lead engineers to ensure delivery of systems and component to target vendor tooling and design and development costs and manage spend to target throughout the programme.
•    Build, maintain and manage relationships with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders. 
•    Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested


WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

Essential:

 

•    Previous experience within Engineering delivery or programme planning departments
•    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel,
•    Excellent communication and skills 
•    Experience of the coordination of multifunctional teams
•    An effective team player, actively develops and help team members
•    Technical or engineering Degree qualified or equivalent experience

 

Desirable:

 

•    Experience of delivering and developing technical components or systems in an automotive environment 

•    Experience of powertrain or electrified components & systems

 

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office.
