Join the Assisted and Automated Driving engineering team, a cutting edge department within the Jaguar Land Rover Product Engineering function. You will join a highly collaborative and engaging environment, working as part of an agile and dynamic team. Our group is hands-on, focused on results, and spends as much time in the field as in the engineering lab.


This role is responsible to lead the definition, development and delivery of harmonised systems solutions, consisting of multiple interconnected components, into Jaguar Land Rover vehicles for features such as ADAS, Infotainment, Connected & Cloud, Propulsion, Chassis, Body, & Security, Diagnostics and Software over the Air.




As the System Architect for ADAS you’ll be expected to have System Functional and Non-Functional analysis experience to carry out a range of analysis and investigations of the customer requirements. This is to define the expected system functionality and their performance targets. You’ll be delivering systems for features across the range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles including, Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.


We are looking for System Architects to provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected components including issue resolution and objective data analysis. You’ll be working with technical specialists and research engineering on attribute function forward strategies, including new Function Definition and Failure Mode Avoidance.



  • Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector working for features such as ADAS, Infotainment, Connected & Cloud, Propulsion, Chassis, Body, & Security, Diagnostics and Software over the Air.
  • Model based engineering (MBE)



  • Experience in applying Systems Engineering and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
  • Experience in Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML using IBM Rational Rhapsody
  • Experience in IBM Rational DOORS
