WHAT TO EXPECT
The primary responsibility of the Central Diagnostics team is to deliver the processes and enabling tooling required by the business to ensure Diagnostic software delivery adheres to the mandated standards and is utilised correctly by end users. A new phase of Diagnostic utilisation is to capture information from the engineering and customer vehicle fleet using remote connection and analyse this information to take remedial action or to improve customer satisfaction of their product. Using both the Authored Diagnostic Data taken from Diagnostic Artefacts and data collect information taken from an integrated On-Board tester platform, the Remote Diagnostic Lead Engineer will use their subject matter expert knowledge of Diagnostics to define the data analysis logic required for increasingly accurate failure response strategies to either further refine the quality of remote data collected or inform repair / update processes of vehicle failures.
The Remote Diagnostic Lead Engineer will be responsible for the continual refinement of the data analysis logic used to manage remote data collect. Within this responsibility they will be required to identify opportunities which will enable further data driven decision making, then defining and implementing changes to Diagnostic Data design, Diagnostic Verification tooling or Diagnostic Delivery Process to deliver them.
The Remote Diagnostic Lead Engineer will be responsible for defining the global business processes used in the notification, business reaction and automated repair action responses taken from the remote data analysis. They will work with the wider business stakeholders to understand future remote data analysis aspirations and define the specific Diagnostic Data analysis methods available to satisfy the business need.
