WHAT TO EXPECT

To ensure our business operates as flawlessly as our vehicles, our Business Assurance team work diligently to ensure the design and operating effectiveness of our internal control environment. Performing independent assessments, the team ensure compliance with Company Policy and Sarbanes Oxley legislation, making sure we reach the highest possible standards.

From day one, your role will be challenging and diverse as you build relationships in the business, and swiftly take charge of your own workload. To give you the best opportunity to succeed we’ll also support both your work and personal development objectives.

As Business Assurance Consultant (BAC), you’ll drive process and control improvement through standardisation and simplification, leveraging automated controls as effectively as possible, to generate the best possible business outcomes.

Closely working with multiple stakeholders, you’ll facilitate Sarbanes-Oxley testing and overall internal controls testing and will also work on major change programmes. Maintaining a strong control environment, you’ll recommend process improvements and help us to simplify our framework over financial reporting. Your input will allow us to transform our processes, giving you the opportunity to influence our business processes and make a real impact on our success.

You’ll also need to prepare and present management information of the internal control framework, document financially significant IT processes and procedures, and plan for IT controls testing including new IT risk areas.

In additional, you’ll:

  • Work closely with process owners and other BAC’s in relation to internal control matters.
  • Liaise with internal and external audit.
  • Assist with planning for controls testing, including new business risk areas.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

With demonstrable audit or controls experience, desirably Sarbanes Oxley experience.  As you’ll also be reviewing and improving processes and internal controls it’s essential your experience is current.

You’ll also need to have a broad knowledge and understanding of auditing SAP, preferably within large and complex multi technology environments, and qualified with a professional Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).

Additionally you’ll need to have:

  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • The ability to liaise cross functionally to senior management
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly with Excel

You’ll also need to be flexible as there will be occasional travel to other Jaguar Land Rover UK locations.
