JOB TITLE: EMC Lead Engineer
SALARY:     45,000 - 53,000
POSTING END DATE: 13/12/19
LOCATION: Gaydon

Dreaming for tomorrow is about more than ideas and ambitions. We’re already building the next generation of vehicles, using repurposed and brand-new technology and techniques. We’re doing more than dream, we’re creating the future of mobility and automotive for years to come.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The EMC Lead Engineer will contribute to the management of the EMC sign off of vehicles or components from concept to end of volume production to ensure all vehicles meet the necessary legislative, corporate requirements and quality attributes.

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for the management and sign off of vehicles and or components to JLR corporate requirements. You’ll be responsible for the communication of validation activity status and the progression of AIMs to support programme sign-off while liaising with other departments such as homologation, engineering test facilities and logistics, and communication with a range of component owners.

You’ll be required to demonstrate compliance to a number of international legal requirements. Validate the vehicles against corporate requirements to ensure reliability, robustness and a good customer experience.

We offer the challenge to help us create a safer, cleaner, smarter more connected future, and to contribute to our corporate goals and success story as one great company with two iconic brands.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need to have previous experience in a similar electromagnetic compatibility engineering role. You’ll have a very strong understanding of EMC theory and design principles, and experience of practical implementation. EMC test experience for automotive would also be beneficial.

Ideally you’ll have strong Programme/ Project Management experience. You’ll have a relevant degree or proven relevant equivalent experience. You’ll have very good communication skills, both within immediate team and with other department.

Jaguar Land Rover considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list. Therefore, Jaguar Land Rover will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

Please note that if you elect to apply for a role in another country and are successful you would need to be hired as an external candidate on local terms and conditions rather than transferring on your existing terms.

SO WHY US?

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme.
