JOB TITLE: EDU Header Component Engineer

LOCATION: Coventry

We’re re-examining our vehicles and what a vehicle means in the emerging world of automation, connectedness, electrification and the shared economy. New ideas, new technology, and new approaches to mobility are our business. Join a team of next generation thinkers.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

Working as part of the e-Driveline team, you’ll be responsible for developing the high voltage connection for the electric drive units to support the next generation of in-house manufactured propulsion systems. Using your expertise and insights, you’ll work on the design, development, and validation of the high voltage connection. The role will also provide you with the opportunity to deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time and lead on the technical content and integrity of the connection for various EDU applications.

We offer the challenge to help us create a safer, cleaner, smarter more connected future, and to contribute to our corporate goals and success story as one great company with two iconic brands.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

The successful candidate will be required to have previous experience of delivering projects in an automotive or manufacturing environment. You’ll also have previous experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues within a team project environment.

In addition to this, you’ll have a good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes. You’ll hold a degree within a relevant discipline or have demonstrable equivalent experience.

Jaguar Land Rover considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list.  Therefore, Jaguar Land Rover will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

SO WHY US?

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, private medical cover, and a performance-related bonus scheme. As a manager, you’ll also be able to select one of our luxury premium vehicles to lease at a fraction of the cost. All this and more makes Jaguar Land Rover the perfect place to continue your journey.

Jaguar Land Rover is committed to equal opportunity for all.
