SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000

POST END DATE: 21/01/2019

LOCATION: Gaydon, Warwickshire

Dreaming for tomorrow is about more ideas and ambitions. We’re already building the next generation of vehicles, using repurposed and brand-new technology and techniques. We’re doing more than dream, we’re creating the future of mobility and automotive for years to come.

WHAT TO EXPECT

With the automotive sector becoming more and more focussed on connectivity, we are increasingly open to a variety of potentially devastating threats. Our Cyber Security team is growing fast as we collectively need to stay one step ahead by building robust software capable of withstanding any potential cyber attack.

In your new role as a Cyber Security Penetration Testing Engineer, you’ll lead the development and delivery of vehicle-based cyber security test plans including functional testing of cyber security technology and pen testing. You’ll be responsible for the development of verification and validation activity plans to test vehicles, their systems and connected ECU’s.

You’ll engage with internal and external testing agencies, including third parties and suppliers, to implement and track the execution of this plan and its associated testing activities.

This role will provide you with great opportunities to work across projects, boundaries, borders and structures to enable lifelong learning so that you can be the best version of you. You’ll also be at the forefront of helping us create a safer and smarter connected future.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To be successful in this role you’ll be a highly motivated and self-starting individual with effective leadership skills.  You’ll possess a thorough understanding of developing Cyber Security Software in the Loop and Hardware in the Loop simulation test environments. You’ll be well versed at defining test methods and tools to detect unknown vulnerabilities. You’ll be experienced at creating assessment reports against specified security goals and providing technical guidance to the on and offshore software testing teams.

You’ll be someone who looks to perform well with high levels of responsibility and has demonstrable experience of independent objective setting, planning and proactively finding solutions to complex problems within demanding environments. In addition you’ll have a track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Jaguar Land Rover considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list. Therefore, Jaguar Land Rover will not support an application for visa sponsorship and all applicants for this role must have an unrestricted right to work for an indefinite period in the UK.

SO WHY US?

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, private medical cover and performance related bonus scheme.
