WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We are looking for people to join the IT Product Engineering team to be an integral part of the IT team collaborating on new cross functional transformation programmes. The programme teams are made up of IT, Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing and is accountable for delivering a process and system changes across Product Engineering. 

 

As the Business Analyst you'll lead the IT engagement on agile driven workstreams within Product Engineering (but not limited to) and will be accountable for ensuring that the IT programme team interpret the needs of the business into IT requirements, create associated delivery plans and ensure that deliverables are aligned with the business capability roadmaps. You'll also be a key point of contact for the business, unblocking any IT related impediments, capturing new demand and ensuring that the workstreams are following enterprise IT standards.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities to include:

 

•    Works with the Business to identify new capability that requires IT input 
•    Understands the business/workstreams needs and translates this to a set of IT requirements
•    Working with the IT programme team and product managers to complete a discover phase to get to a full impact assessment
•    Works with the business to understand their capability delivery roadmap and ensures that the associated IT elements in the programme delivery plan aligns in terms of timing and quality
•    Works with IT Product Managers and Solution Architects to align business capabilities with IT product strategy
•    Communicates changes in the workstreams capability roadmap to the wider IT team and owns the impact assessment for these
•    Where needed, becomes a sprint team member for specific sprints ensuring that any IT tasks to support completion of sprint goals are completed
•    Owns through the resolution any IT related impediments to the sprint
•    Collaborates with wider IT teams i.e. security, Software Asset Management etc to ensure that enterprise standards are adhered to in the workstreams
•    Identifies and defines elements to be brought into the BAU operations team and works with that team and the business to agree support model requirements

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED


•    Demonstrable experience in working with customers to understand their problem statements and being able to simply translate these to technical teams to cost and deliver against
•    Experience of managing priorities in a fast paced environment
•    Proven experience in stakeholder management
•    Experience in problem resolution, being able to take away problems and manage multiple stakeholders to come to a successful resolution
•    Proven track record of delivering against plans
•    Ability to bridge the gap between different technical and business communities with clear and tailored communications to ensure a common understanding
