JOB TITLE: Purchasing/STA Project Leader
LOCATION: Budapest

  • Behave and Communicate in an entrepreneurial and enterprising way to identify and create projects specifically driving increased profit and revenue projects, and drive efficiency savings.
  • Working with CoC Teams (PP, PE, STA) link activities to ensure a co-ordinated approach
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, developing positive relationships, ensuring that service and objectives are aligned and agreed 
  • Actively work with line managers, senior managers and directors to create a project pipeline and priorization to ensure best value for JLR is achieved
  • Create project plans, update plans, create mitigation actions, provide necessary reporting to project level and also for executive level
  • Coordinate project sessions, communicate and roadblocks and activiely facilitate resolution and escalate if necessary
  • Work with supplier partners and travel to locations when it is deemed necessary




  • Project lead responsibility for Production transfers (transfer of production, assembly lines, machines & equipments, gauges, PPAP documentation, eCARs, etc. (LEAD)
  • Project Lead for larger scope Supplier Risk Mitigation Plans (LEAD)
  • JLR Escalation Reviews – For Selected Projects (LEAD)
  • Cost saving – Reimagine Programmes: Accelerate, Agile (Lead)
  • Commercial PPAP (STA/PUR) – (support) 
  • Supplier Audits (support) 
  • Supplier Escalation – out of normal business (support) 




  • Excellent Organisational Skills
  • Experience of collaboration & cross functional team working 
  • Strong Project Management Skills 
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills 
  • Evidence of strong analytical ability – drawing insights & providing guidance 
  • Ability to build a solid network & good rapport at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and to tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated and resourceful with an ability to present clearly and concisely at all levels
  • Good MS Office suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel, MS Project
  • Full Driving license with no restrictions for international driving within Europe
  • Languages - Strong business knowledge of English required
  • Business acumen


  • A solid knowledge of production operations and technologies
  • Understanding of waste free manufacturing and enablers for achievement
  • Understanding of product costing principles
