WHAT TO EXPECT
A challenging and exciting new opportunity has been created within the Material Fulfilment team, part of the Industrial Operations Organisation.
You will play a key role within our SECURE Ramp Up team as the lead for coordinating a cross-functional team including JLR Buyers, Supplier Technical Assurance, suppliers, Agile squad, and others to deliver a robust risk assessment and resolution of Post Job 1 volume risks.
This involves issue identification, critical path timing plans, analysis, and resolution, starting from c16 weeks prior to a Unit, MY, or Vehicle Launch. Coordinating cross-functional meetings working with key stakeholders/supplier partners internally and externally across the business (STA, Purchasing, Agile Squads, R&FU, Suppliers) securing our plant's ability to produce on time with the volume we require.
You will have experience in delivering complex projects, knowledge of the automotive manufacturing process, able to demonstrate your ability to work with teams towards strict deadlines and targets, and drive activity. With good business acumen, you will be able to assess risks/opportunities whilst planning risk mitigation and delivering on objectives on time and to quality.
You will be able to gather evidence of supplier readiness with onsite visits whilst providing regular updates using the Supply Chain Issue Management tool in the Supply Chain Tower governance process.
The role will require significant travel to supplier sites and JLR Plants.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ensure supply risks are promptly identified, and analysed for all JLR plants in UK and Europe
- Drive mitigation actions for risks/problems identified, delivering a SECURE Ramp Up fulfilment signal confirming entitlement to build.
- Delivery of key performance indicators to achieve key scorecard metrics.
- Implement operational plans and ways of working for the team to run and implement.
- Drive Cross-functional problem-solving actions.
- Compiling and reporting of key data.
- Gathering data on a supplier’s robustness of readiness.
- Undertake any other work as directed in connection with their job as may be requested.
- Coordinating JLR stakeholder meetings, reporting status, and escalating if required.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Knowledge of manufacturing process + procurement practice
- Either all or some knowledge experience in manufacturing, supplier management, supply chain, procurement, product launch, or project management
