JOB TITLE: Functional Safety Engineer - Motion Control for Automated Driving
LOCATION: Budapest


The story of Jaguar Land Rover Hungary dates to 2018, when the very first employees were hired. Since then, we moved into our brand-new office in downtown Budapest, laid down the foundation of Chassis, Electronic and ADAS engineering and currently more than 150 engineers work on various automotive products ranging from software through hardware components till full vehicle testing.  
The ADAS division designs, develops and tests innovative solutions in the Advanced and Automated Driving domain for all the vehicle programs under the Jaguar Land Rover brand. Jaguar Land Rover invests a lot in future technologies development and testing, which means you will have the possibility to work on the latest and most advanced features in the Advanced and Automated Driving domain, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art test equipment and drive the future of advanced driver assistant technologies. 


•    Support the Functional Safety activities for ADAS and Chassis features and technologies in accordance with the internal JLR lifecycle. 
•    Liaise with interfacing departments such as Chassis, ADAS and powertrain to ensure a seamless embodiment of functional safety requirements. 
•    Engage with Subject Matter Experts, Lead Engineers and Technical Specialists to drive cultural change and functional safety awareness within the team in pursuit of technical excellence and efficient delivery.
•    Liaise and build relationships with suppliers. 
•    Organise internal (JLR) and/or external (with suppliers) review meetings when needed.
•    Support test engineers regarding Verification & Validation of safety requirements & safety goals.

•    Proven working experience of applying ISO26262 (or similar standards such as IEC 61508). E.g compiling a Safety Plan, Item Definition, Hazard Analysis & Risk Assessment, Functional/Technical Safety Concept, Safety Goal Validation Plan & Report and Safety Case Report.  
•    Working experience in Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) – eg compilation of boundary diagrams, FMEA, Fault Trees, fishbone diagrams etc.   
•    Excellent team-working, organisation and communication skills.
•    Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision.
•    Flexible approach. 
•    Analytical and problem-solving skills
It will be considered as a bonus if you have: 

•    Knowledge of Chassis Systems.
•    Knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture and networks. 
•    Working experience of Systems Engineering.  
•    Experience in working to an AGILE methodology

Our brand new office is located in the centre of Budapest’s prime office Váci corridor. Five minutes from downtown, GTC White House is easily accessible by public transport and car.
