JOB TITLE: Automation Framework & Functions Engineer - HIL
LOCATION: Budapest




The story of Jaguar Land Rover Hungary dates to 2018, when the very first employees were hired. Since then, we moved into our brand-new office in downtown Budapest, laid down the foundation of Chassis, Electronic and ADAS engineering and currently more than 150 engineers work on various automotive products ranging from software through hardware components till full vehicle testing.  

The ADAS division designs, develops and tests innovative solutions in the Advanced and Automated Driving domain for all the vehicle programs under the Jaguar Land Rover brand. Jaguar Land Rover invest sa lot in future technologies development and testing, which means you will have the possibility to work on the latest and most advanced features in the Advanced and Automated Driving domain, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art test equipment and drive the future of advanced driver assistant technologies. 




  • You will be part of the team responsible for the Test Automation Framework, Tools and Models development for Assisted and Automated Driving Hardware In the Loop.  
  • Your focus will be to ensure lean and efficient Automation framework to enable automation of test cases and millions of Assisted and Automated Driving test scenarios. 
  • You will lead and take responsibility of defining and maintaining a scalable Automation framework for Models to enable auto generation of HIL models and functions. 
  • You will be responsible for developing tools required to achieve the defined framework. 
  • You will be responsible to maintain the automation keyword database. 
  • You will be responsible for analysing new use cases with respect to framework 
  • You will be working in international team creating the framework and automation of existing and future AAD features HIL environment. 
  • You will collaborate with other HIL testing groups and with ADAS feature owners. 




  • Degree in mechatronics or electrical or mechanical engineering or comparable 
  • Extensive experience in developing and defining automation framework  
  • Experience in test automation 
  • Good analytical skills, able to see the ‘big picture’ of testing 
  • Experience in programming/scripting language (ideally Python, C#) 
  • You have good understanding of systems Engineering, requirements-based testing and design verification and validation. 
  • Experience in Systems/Software testing and methodologies  


It will be considered as a bonus if you have: 

  • ISTQB foundation certification & training 
  • National Instruments certificate (LabView Developer of Architect) 
  • IPG Carmaker experience 
  • Experience in Agile working methodology 
  • Experience with CANalyzer and/or CANoe 
  • Experience with ISO14229 Unified Diagnostic Services

Our brand new office is located in the centre of Budapest’s prime office Váci corridor. Five minutes from downtown, GTC White House is easily accessible by public transport and car.
