FINANCE AND ACCOUNTANCY

As with all businesses, money makes our world go round. Finance helps to fuel our growth on a global scale. It sits at the very heart of our organisation, influencing every element of everything we do. So you can be sure your decisions will make an impact. Then there is the daily mechanics of a how a business of our size functions. The team controls and reports on all income and spend for each business areas. It develops corporate financial strategy and deals with consolidation and management reporting of corporate financial data, accounting and cash management, financial controls, and tax management.


OUR TEAMS

Our accounting team is responsible for group reporting & IFRS statements, general ledger management, reporting validation and providing technical accounting guidance to the business. All of this in addition to UK, Inventory, Property and Systems accounting.

The Business Assurance team is responsible for corporate policies & procedure training and our SOX Compliance Programme. In addition we provide advice and support to operations relating to internal controls & policy issues and work with the business on corrective action plans where issues have been identified.

GFS's purpose is to improve the Finance function and help it achieve its mission statement. This is broken down into improving people, processes and systems and has a wide scope, encompassing most of Finance. The team dynamic is necessarily agile to provide support according to business requirements.

This team manages a wide variety of finance activities relating to fleet and business, incentives, fixed costs and profit planning.

Our operations teams partner with different areas of the business to manage financial delivery and expenditure control. The five main arms relate to Engineering, Product Development, Product Engineering, Global Purchasing and Manufacturing.

Marketing, Sales & Service Finance is the umbrella for a number of related but distinct finance activities within Jaguar Land Rover. This covers pricing and marketing strategy for the worldwide portfolio. It also extends to brochures and TV advertising, Land Rover Experience venues and the Formula E team. Global Sales Finance covers the Own Use Vehicle fleet, Order to Cash process and finance consolidation and analysis..

The tax team incorporates Corporate tax, VAT, Customs, Duty/Imports, Employee tax and NSC tax and operate in three key areas: Compliance & Risk Management, Tax Planning and ​Financial Reporting.

Jaguar Land Rover's Treasury function is involved with Bank Relations, Funding, Investments, Financial Risk Management, Cash Management, Pension Finance and Insurance.

his team has two key responsibilities. They provide financial support for all of the core non-production functions such as HR, PR and Finance; and manage profit analysis activities such as consolidating management reporting, budget and business planning processes and month end & forecasts.
