DESIGN GRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES

Our graduate opportunities offer the perfect blend of personal and professional development. Network with other graduates, build relationships across the entire business, and watch your career grow. To make sure your programme is dynamic and engaging, we have a dedicated graduate development team, who will be working to design, update and develop a range of learning experiences for you.

Some of these will build up your technical expertise and enable you to perform confidently in your business area and role. Others will prepare you for your career after the scheme ends. You’ll also take part in training to help you understand yourself, others, and gain insight into our business. From the start, we’ll provide you with support specifically tailored to your role.

Our programmes

Creative

This programme is a lesson in design that ignites the world’s passion. Jaguar Land Rover is a pioneer of sleek, modern vehicles ahead of their time because we have the insights. We predict global trends before they occur and will use them to fuel your creativity. You’ll learn how to perfect your use of 2D and 3D media to deliver products that set our customers’ pulses racing time and again.

From the Defender and the XJ to the Evoque and the F-TYPE, our design team has produced some of the most recognisable vehicles ever made, from the interiors to the exteriors, colour & materials to the Interface design.

A design degree is required.

Studio Modelling

Enter a truly fascinating and exciting stage of automotive design and development and play a major role in taking appealing and inspirational ideas from initial concept into production. Whether it’s in our virtual or physical world, you will translate concepts and data into physical models, digital models or computer-generated animations. All with the aim of solving the problems that will shape the final scintillating design.

A design degree is required.

Technical

The sweeping curves and celebrated styles of our vehicles would be nothing without the craftsmanship of our Design Technical teams working in these three innovative disciplines:

Surfacing – detailed 3D A-Surface geometry honouring design intent while delivering manufacturing feasibility.

Studio Engineering – a team of highly skilled whole vehicle engineers managing the critical interactions between Design, Engineering and Vehicle Attribute teams, with the aim to deliver a feasible Design intent.

Cubing - interfacing closely with Surfacing and Studio Engineering, the Cubing team's role is the production of highly accurate 1:1 scale models for the assessment of quality interface craftsmanship and production surfaces.

Degree requirements include Design or Engineering - Surfacing, Studio, Cubing Engineering.

These programmes are now closed for our 2020 intake, we will be open again in September 2020 for our 2021 intake.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To be eligible for our graduate programmes, you need to have obtained or be on track for a 2:2 degree qualification. Additionally, please make only one application for our graduate programmes. Be sure to read all the information carefully and apply to the one position that aligns most with your qualifications, skills, experience and interests.

During the Graduate Programme, you’ll need to become a member of a relevant Chartered or Professional Institute. This is based on your business area and for this, additional qualifications may be required. Jaguar Land Rover will support you in this, but we ask that you sign a learning contract.

If you choose to leave the Programme while completing the qualification, or the business within two years of obtaining it, you will be liable to repay the costs undertaken by the Company in supporting you through the qualification.

This is where apprentices, graduates and undergraduates all get together to talk about the challenges we are working on and share hints and tips.
