INDIGITAL

Working across every business area, we’re managing ground-breaking projects, solving complex commercial challenges and building innovative solutions to create a truly digital powerhouse. Along the way, we’re also guiding the incredible change taking place throughout the automotive industry. Our team lead the way on everything from global projects and organisational design to delivery costs and quality targets, delivering digital initiatives at pace.

If Indigital is the engine, you’ll be a core component, building a strong foundation in analytics from day one. In your first year alone, you’ll be given the training, industry-leading tools and hands on, live project experience that brings in problem structuring, data wrangling, modelling and visualisation, data science and analytics strategy. In year two, you’ll have the clarity to focus on developing a specialism (Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Office), and the confidence to mentor new graduates.

PROPERTY

Property touches every employee and is business critical, so there’s incredible scope for purposeful individuals with a creative approach to deepening our knowledge and driving digital efficiency. Our analytics graduates play a pivotal role in in reviewing and benchmarking global property operating costs, helping to ensure we develop and maintain an efficient estate. And you’ll also directly drive movement, taking the Property Department into a highly data driven and analytical era.

Completing the scheme is just the beginning. You’ll enjoy meaningful, pioneering work as a Data and Reporting Analyst, overseeing performance of our global real estate portfolio and benchmarking total occupancy costs. You’ll also relish the opportunity to develop and maintain an intuitive departmental reporting tool and can look forward to diversifying your skills and knowledge into real estate management and project management roles.

PEOPLE ANALYTICS - HR

Our People Analytics team are embedded within HR, working with our leaders to drive the People agenda, and with the Analytics Centre of Excellence to advance our capabilities. We’re ambitious about continually setting the benchmark and raising the standards. So, our best in class analytics solutions inform processes, people and technology solutions that create value, drive growth and make JLR even more efficient and agile.

This evolving programme is designed to deliver experts in applied analytics who can not only keep up with but set the pace and add business value. And you’ll learn on the job, actively getting involved where you can make an impact. That might be by leading people analytics projects, providing ad hoc analytics or developing our capability across HR. Along the way, you’ll also build skills across a range of coding languages and analytics technologies.

COMMERCIAL

Our Customer Service team’s purpose is to delight our customers, ensuring that globally they receive the highest quality service experience every time. Whether that be through helping technicians to fix fast, first time through best in class diagnosis and repair, a strong focus on quality, or ensuring the efficient and effective management of parts and inventory through our supply chain. This will be underpinned by a digital transformation that is grounded in a strong culture of data-led decision-making, that you will help support and develop through your two-year graduate programme.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You will have or expect to achieve a 2:2 degree or higher. We are particularly keen to receive applications from students with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) background but more important than that is a passion for analytics and problem solving, the curiosity to understand a business problem and explore innovative solutions, the confidence to champion new initiatives, strong numerical skills and be an excellent communicator.

Virtual Technical Presentation

Here we’ll be looking for you to demonstrate your technical knowledge. Ahead of your assessment you’ll be provided with a brief help you prepare.

In our assessment process we will be looking for evidence of key behaviours and characteristics that are important for success in our business. We will share these with you ahead of your assessment to help you prepare.

Face to Face Assessment

  • 90 minute assessment
  • Motivational interview (30 minutes) including reasons to join Jaguar Land Rover and understanding of the industry
  • Behavioural Interview (30 minutes)

In our assessment process we will be looking for evidence of key behaviours and characteristics that are important for success in our business. We will share these with you ahead of your assessment to help you prepare.

I’m a Maintenance Engineer in my second year of the Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship Pathway. I was looking at a variety of apprenticeships, but I chose Jaguar Land Rover because they are one of Britain’s largest car manufacturers and the structured and detailed apprenticeship programme really appealed to me and my working style. One of the greatest aspects of being on any of the apprenticeship programmes, is the support you get to succeed. I started with a year at the training provider at Aston, but my development has only increased since being on-site in Solihull.

As strange as this sounds, I didn’t know much about the world of engineering until a group of Jaguar Land Rover apprentices came into my school to talk about what they do. I was amazed that engineering was really suited to my skillset. And I realised that creative thinking and problem solving are exactly what is needed to do well as an apprentice here. I’ve been here three years now, working as a Design Engineer, and it has been harder than I thought, but the support is incredible. And the network of other apprentices is huge. There’s always someone who will listen to you and so many people you can learn from.

It’s so exciting! 5G technology, streams of data and advanced cloud and server based platforms are allowing me to help our cars adapt in the moment to drive efficiency for the customer. Whether that’s predicting when a car needs to warm the seats or start up, or when an engine needs to change performance to match the conditions it’s driving in. Not to mention how we update battery range or infotainment systems in the blink of an eye.
