WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Tooling Launch Engineer.

 

As a Tooling Launch Engineer, you will be to ensure all tools are seamlessly integrated into production, liaising with toolroom, and SGME to prioritise work. You will need to be able to manage various stakeholders, have good project management skills, with the ability to manage your own time and have the confidence to make decisions.

 

You will be working within the Halewood Press launch team focusing on tooling delivery and integration. The role is a technical role which will support plant and Stamping in successfully bringing in all die sets to PSW standard into the Press shop. 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • HLC Planning & Support
  • PSW completion pack
  • EMA Die Maintainability
  • Reporting to Launch Leader
  • Working closely with Toolroom and stamping Engineering
  • Working in a flexible, multi-disciplined department
  • Consulting with all levels of associates and management including contractors

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

You will work as part of a close-knit, highly skilled tooling team including internal tooling and Stamping engineering. You will be an integral part of delivering our luxury line of electrified vehicles to the highest standard with a world-class fit and finish that our discerning customers have come to expect from JLR.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

Essential – 

 

  • Significant knowledge of tool / die design, manufacture and maintenance
  • Significant knowledge of facility maintenance; World Class Maintenance, autonomous maintenance, TPM
  • Some knowledge of Press Shop processes
  • Co-ordination and planning workload 
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong quality focus
  • Use of CAD software packages eg Catia, 3D experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong quality focus
  • Detailed understanding of JLR Tooling Design Standards
