WHAT TO EXPECT 


The Value Optimisation Office operates within Enterprise, Performance and Quality, working in the heart of the business optimising many of our core activities for long-term sustainable change across ten cross enterprise priority workstreams.

 

Reporting to the Enterprise Value Optimisation PMO (Project Management Office) Senior Manager, the role implements and drives a common operating framework and data set for the Value Optimisation Office (VOO) team, as well as developing new toolsets and business relationships to support incremental opportunities across the workstreams. 

 

The successful candidate will have direct responsibility for managing the Value Optimisation Office Governance function, covering initiative management and reporting across the ten key workstreams, Refocus Gate initiative management and value delivery.  They will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of VOO Board sessions, Executive Steering Committee, Chapter Reviews, Board action tracking and development of supporting presentations and materials. 
    
This role has the opportunity for a proactive individual to gain business wide exposure, utilising and enhancing stakeholder management skills up to Board level.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities


•    Drive the Value Optimisation Office operating model to increase overall business performance, promote consistency and improved achievement of business targets.
•    Work across the VOO teams to identify improvement actions, develop them into robust proposals and implement them.
•    Maintain the Initiative Management System Backlog including initiative tracking, reporting, ad hoc functionality development.
•    Ensure the quality of reporting of all VOO initiatives at Board and Enterprise level.
•    Drive cross-functional continuous improvement and lessons learnt mentality, sharing insights across all VOO and Enterprise teams and work with Business Excellence institutionalising these changes.
•    Support development of data analytics & digital tools that report quality data, identify incremental opportunities or risks to mitigate, ensuring the Value Optimisation Office teams are well-provided with standard datasets and any new requests are prioritised correctly.
•    Utilise strong links with the Finance, Digital and Quality teams to track performance.
•    Support development and control of the Value Optimisation Office daily operations and processes, IATF and TBEM requirements, providing direct support to both the Enterprise Value Optimisation PMO Senior Manager and the Enterprise Value Optimisation Director.
•    Develop effective relationships across multiple functions.
•    Manage Enterprise Value Optimisation Governance Leads (D-grade).
•    Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as required.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 


•    Excellent collaboration, cross functional team working and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, to be able to confidently represent the team in cross-functional and senior forums.
•    Strong business acumen and financial understanding, including ability to understand and scrutinise financial and technical reporting.
•    Ability to work independently and proactively, taking full ownership and responsibility for own work; fully invested in achieving a successful result.
•    You view things as a team rather than individual project level, considering the wider team needs.
•    Strong interpersonal/communication skills, including ability to manage/lead/support cross enterprise relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
•    Good influencing skills.
